The Mad Testaments is an experimental art film that explores the duality of the being black from a multi-cultural male perspective of being both African & African-American. The narrative is based off the experience and the state of mind of the artist. The film tells the story of Nigerian man who is dealing with the loss of his late brother, whom was his true last connection to his Nigerian identity and culture. The story simulates a journey of a black male body confronting both differences and similarities found in both perspectives, as well suffering through confusion and chaos that is self-realization. Finally, reveals the fusion of realities that then evolve into a single hybrid state of being and seeing (consciousness), that still exists in the realm of blackness.
